Connect Create Cairo: Build a City with History and Technology
Curated by: Zulfikar Hirji, Associate Professor, York University

The exhibition takes you on journey through Cairo’s distinctive urban landscape and architectural heritage from the 9th to the 18th centuries. The exhibition provides inspiration for 3D printing workshop participants who design and 3D print a model residence for the exhibition’s centerpiece – an architectural scale model of a section of one of Cairo’s historic urban districts.

This project was developed collaboratively:

Zulfikar Hirji (Lead and Content); Yasin Visram & Sneha Sumanth (Architectural and Design); Fayyaz Ali, Seema Manji (Education and Workshop Design); Alan Clarke (Design and Production); MakeLab (3D Components and Workshop Design)
